TERMS OF USE — EVENT PROMOTERS / BRAND AMBASSADORS
Last updated: 2 August 2026
These Event Promoter Terms of Use (“Event Promoter Terms”) govern your participation as an Event Promoter or brand ambassador on GatePlug. They apply in addition to the GatePlug Terms and Conditions for Buyers. If you also organise events, the Organiser Terms continue to apply to that activity.
By accepting an Event Promoter invitation, requesting to join an organiser’s Event Promoter programme, or otherwise enabling Event Promoter features on your account, you agree to these Event Promoter Terms.
1. Role and relationship
1.1 You promote events using GatePlug tracking links and related tools provided to you.
1.2 You are an independent Event Promoter. Nothing in these Event Promoter Terms creates employment, partnership, or agency with GatePlug or with any organiser unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
1.3 Commission rates, assignments, and programme membership are set by organisers. GatePlug provides the platform tools; organisers settle commission outside GatePlug unless a separate product feature says otherwise.
2. Eligibility and account
2.1 You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and able to form a binding contract, to participate in the Event Promoter programme. You must provide accurate account information.
2.2 Existing buyer accounts may unlock Event Promoter features when you accept an invite or join a programme — you do not need a separate GatePlug account.
2.3 You are responsible for securing your login credentials and for activity under your account.
3. Programme requests and invitations
3.1 Organisers may enable an Event Promoter programme. When enabled, you may request to join from their public organiser page.
3.2 Organisers may accept or decline requests, and may invite you by email or from your public Event Promoter profile.
3.3 GatePlug does not guarantee acceptance into any programme.
4. Promotion standards
4.1 You must promote events honestly and comply with advertising, consumer, and disclosure laws in every territory where you promote (including clear #ad / paid partnership disclosures where required).
4.2 You must not make false claims about events, pricing, availability, age limits, or refunds.
4.3 You must not spam, scrape, or use deceptive tracking practices.
4.4 You must not promote content that is unlawful, discriminatory, hateful, or that violates GatePlug’s Community Guidelines.
5. Tracking links and data
5.1 Tracking links, QR codes, and related attribution data are provided for programme performance only.
5.2 You must not share login access, forge attribution, or interfere with another Event Promoter’s links.
5.3 GatePlug and organisers may review link views, shares, attributed sales, and related metrics when deciding programme membership and settlements.
6. Social profiles
6.1 You may add public social media profile URLs (for example Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, X, LinkedIn) to help organisers evaluate you.
6.2 You confirm you control those profiles and that the links are accurate.
6.3 Completing social links is optional but recommended; incomplete profiles may be less attractive to organisers.
7. Commission and settlements
7.1 Any commission percentage is set by the organiser on ticket types or as otherwise shown in the product.
7.2 Attributed sales depend on buyers using your tracking link (and related attribution rules on GatePlug).
7.3 Refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, or fraud may reverse accrued commission.
7.4 Organisers are responsible for paying you outside GatePlug according to their agreement with you. GatePlug is not your payer unless expressly stated in a separate GatePlug feature.
8. Content and intellectual property
8.1 You retain rights in your own promotional content, but grant GatePlug and the relevant organiser a non-exclusive licence to use your name, likeness, and submitted profile information as needed to operate Event Promoter features and programme listings.
8.2 You must not infringe third-party IP, including music, images, logos, or brand assets, without permission.
9. Suspension and removal
9.1 Organisers may remove you from their programme or events.
9.2 GatePlug may suspend Event Promoter features for breach of these Event Promoter Terms, the Buyer Terms, Community Guidelines, or applicable law.
9.3 Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP licences, liability limits, and settlement disputes with organisers) survive termination.
10. Liability
10.1 GatePlug provides Event Promoter tooling “as is” within the limits of applicable law and the main Terms and Conditions.
10.2 Disputes about unpaid commission are primarily between you and the organiser.
10.3 Nothing in these Event Promoter Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Changes
11.1 We may update these Event Promoter Terms. Continued use of Event Promoter features after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Event Promoter Terms.
11.2 Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date above.
